ROCHEM H.C.F. CLEANER
Rochem H.C.F. Cleaner has been developed to remove residual hydro carbons remaining in cargo tanks after they have been cleaned using Rochem Tankleen Heavy Duty or Rochem Seaclean.
Rochem H.C.F. Cleaner is a biodegradable, water based cleaner, containing special non petroleum solvents and surfactans, which reduce the surface tension and quickly emulsify free flowing hydro carbons. This special formulation keeps foaming to an absolute minimum.
CERTIFICATION
Test carried out by a laboratory proved that, following the recommended washing procedure with Rochem H.C.F.Cleaner the hydro carbon concentration is reduced to a hydro carbon level of 0.04 gr./m2 which is better than the required standard.
These test were carried out on zinc silicate coatings being exposed to naphta for a period of 2 weeks.

USAGE
Rochem H.C.F. Cleaner is used for the removal of hydrocarbons from cargo tank surfaces after completion of the normal gas freeing and tank clearing procedure.
APPLICATION
Rochem H.C.F. Cleaner should be applied by the injection method into the wash water line on deck to obtain optimum results. The recommended procedure is as follows:
1. Wash tanks for one hour using tank washing machines with hot sea water having a maximum temperature as
allowed for coating.
2. Wash tanks for two hours with hot sea water injecting Rochem Tankleen H.D. at a rate of 1 liter per ton of water.
3. Flush tanks with, preferably hot, fresh water.
4.Wash tanks for two hours with hot sea water injecting Rochem H.C.F. Cleaner at a rate of 6 litres per ton of water.
5. Flush with fresh water for approx. 20 minutes.
6.Carry out hydrocarbon test.
If the tanks are being washed using closed recirculation method, then the dosage rate for Tankleen H.D. should be increased to 2 liters per ton of water and H.C.F. Cleaner to 10 liters per ton of water.
As the contaminated wash water is in an unstable condition, rapid separation of oil will occur when pumped to the slop tank.
Since the separation process is very rapid and effective, no time is lost in pumping the slop ashore. The separating station can then deal with the slops fast and effectively allowing them to recover the oil as a valuable commodity.
HANDLING
Although this product is not dangerous to health, prolonged contact with skin or eyes might cause irritation. Avoid inhalation of vapour and use with adequate ventilation.
