TECHNICAL REVIEW

 

FUEL CONDITIONER FOR SLUDGE FREE SYSTEM

 

Tight intermolecular tension of fuel oils causes sludge to build up, i.e. the water and the oil mixes forming a tight emulsion. By using ROCHEM F.O.T. STANDARD the intermolecular tension is reduced thereby breaking up sludge formation and finally assisting, in the purification of the oil. By dosing storage tanks with ROCHEM F.O.T. STANDARD the sludge already in the tank is converted back to usable fuel oil. It also maintains the tanks, fuel lines and preheaters in a clean condition. Due to additive's action there is a lower throw-out of usable oil from the purifier.

 

COMBUSTION IMPROVER FOR FUEL ECONOMY

 

ROCHEM F.O.T. STANDARD reduces the surface tension of fuel oil. Thus, better atomization is obtained, which leads to more complete combustion and lower fuel consumption.

 

COMBUSTION PRODUCTS MODIFIER for REDUCING DEPOSITS and CORROSION

The oxidation of SO2 causes the build up of deposits on turbine vessel firesides and diesel vessels cylinder linings, piston rings and valves. ROCHEM F.O.T. STANDARD inhibits the transition of SO2 to SO3, thereby eliminating the build up of these deposits. Furthermore, ROCHEM F.O.T. STANDARD is particularly effective in modifying and removing high temperature deposits formed due to the burning of residual fuel oil with high sodium and vanadium content.

DOSAGE

 

STEAM TURBINES

Commence 1 part to 10,000 parts of fuel oil.
A dosage as low as 1: 12,000 parts may be used when low vanadium fuels are burned or based on operating experience.

LARGE BORE 2-CYCLE ENGINES

Commence 1 part to 10,000 parts of fuel oil.
A dosage as low as 1: 12,000 parts may be used when low vanadium fuels are burned or based on operating experience.

MEDIUM SPEED 2 AND 4 CYCLE MAIN AND AUXILIARY ENGINES

Commence 1 part to 8,000 parts of fuel oil.
A dosage as low as 1 part to 10,000 parts may be used when based on operating experience, quality of the fuel, or engine characteristics.

 

APPLICATION

 

Introduce ROCHEM F.O.T. STANDARD to the fuel oil storage tank before fuel is delivered.

 

HANDLING

 

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact flush with plenty of water.
